34 days.......

Until Christmas!!!! Wow, that is creeping up rather quickly.........just over a month. I think it is time for me to at least start thinking that it will be here before I know it. It really is a season, but most people just focus on the day. Not me........there is far too many wonderful things to do, especially social events. A friend was over the other day, and her calendar is far more busy than mine, but there is sure a lot to do in the next few weeks.

There is Christmas Cafe, A Hometown Christmas, Tiny Tots theatre, 6 hockey games, Breakfast with Santa, several Open Houses, and then it is Christmas!!! Those are only the events that I have listed for now, but I already know that more things will arise. It's inevitable.

Hubby and I went to 2 Giants games on the weekend, and they were great. Unfortunately, we lost the one on Sunday, but it was still nice to get out and about. The weather has been rather good this past week, and the sun seems to bring out the best of moods in people. I managed to suffer through my first (and hopefuly last) cold of the season, and am feeling much better this week. Last week was a write-off!

And this week is half way over, time is ticking by very, very fast these days......hmmmm, it's really only 33 more days..........

They Won!

They actually won! The Canucks beat the Colorado Avalanche in overtime, by a score of 2 to 1. I have been to 5 games this year and I finally saw a good game. There was passing, hitting, play-making and an all round good effort. I am so happy.

I have probably been to just as many Vancouver Giants games, and they have been way more entertaining, and just way more fun to be at. I bought a half season of the Giants this year and I was almost ready to sell my Canucks tickets. I mean, really!!! I have been enjoying the Giants way more, and dollar for dollar, it just wasn't making a whole lot of sense.

Giants ticket $16
Canucks ticket $80

Parking at Pacific Coliseum $8
Parking at GM Place $15 (although we found a $6 spot tonight, and I believe it is one of downtown's best kept secret)

White Spot Burger at Pacific Coliseum $7.50 (including fries and a drink)
White Spot Burger at GM Place $12.25 (including fries and a drink)

Washrooms at the Pacific Coliseum~right behind our seats
Washrooms at GM Place~at the other end of the arena

So when the Canucks were doing so poorly, and it didn't even appear that they were trying, it was getting very trying to watch them play. I was at that horrible game on November 1st......and it was just a very sad game. Tonight, it was a good game!! A very good game!!! I do believe that the boys are back!!!!

(And now that my life has gotten back to "normal", whatever that means.......I will try and be a better blogger now too!)
