The Power of One

My friend posted this video on Youtube last week and also on Facebook. (I know that this is just a picture of a video.....I don't know how to post a video onto my Blog) Since then, I have shared it on my profile a couple of times and I think I have sent it via email to a few friends who haven't got Facebook accounts. I love it!! I listen to it 4 or 5 times a day. Rick Tippe is an amazing songwriter and musician and I own quite a few of his CD's. I find his music inspiring and healing. Every time I have gone through a difficult time in my life, I will always listen to Rick and his inspirational words of encouragement. He and his wife Bonnie live in Maple Ridge and they just became grandparents this year to a very cute baby boy named Gavin. Bonnie is having as much fun being a grandma as me, and we also share the very same birthday and were born the very same year. My cousin and I share the same birthday too, but we are five years apart. Us February 24th girls, we are special!!!

This, being the last day of the year, is usually a reminiscent post. But I am not going to do that this year. Just go back and read my blog. I often tell people that if they read my blog, then they really know all there is to know about me. No catching up to do, no conversation to really have, as they pretty much know all that is going on in my life. For some reason or another, when we do see each other or talk with one another, we still manage to have a conversation.......and sometimes it is just about something that they read on my blog. Usually we talk about what is going on in their life and that's way better than talking about me. But I am going to share. Some of the things that I have learned this year, (or perhaps in the last couple of years.......) and some of them in only the past week. But here they are in no particular order.

1) I received The Five Love Languages book for Christmas. They are Physical Touch (10/30), Acts of Service (8/30), Receiving Gifts (0/30), Quality Time (6/30) and Words of Affirmation (6/30). The numbers in parentheses are my score on the profile for wives at the end of the book. Touch is my love language. I knew it was one of the important ones to me, but I didn't realize it would be the most important. Interesting.....very interesting!

2)I have an odd sense of humour. When my neighbour said, "Merry Friggen Christmas" to me the other day, I just laughed at him. He was on his way to work a night shift and we were just coming in from shopping. I still smile every time I remember him saying it.....I am smiling again right now! Two and a Half Men makes me laugh out loud. Some of it is very off colour and I can't believe that I think it is even funny. If I watch a rerun and I know what is coming, then I start to chuckle before one of them even say the punchline.

3)"Purple represents royalty, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mystery, transformation, wisdom, enlightenment, cruelty, arrogance, and mourning. Purple is considered an exotic colour. Purple dye was made from the mucous gland of a snail. It required thousands of snails to yield one gram of dye causing it to be a colour only nobles could afford. Today purple is a trendy colour targeting creative types." I plagarized this off of my friend's Facebook status from yesterday. I bought purple luggage this week, and she bought purple velour pants. I have always loved the colour purple!!

4)I loved the little boy on the news who was asked who his favourite hockey player on the Canadian Olympic team was. His reply was, "Canada!" I love children, and the things that they say!! They are so innocent and so refreshing!!

5)Emotionally, I don't do anger. Sadness, disappointment, frustration.........but not anger. It uses up way too much energy and causes bitterness and resentment to eat up my insides. I haven't been angry for a very, very long time and I hope and pray it stays that way.

6)I received a pedometer for Christmas. Mostly just for curiosity, and I have wanted one for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised that I am consistently walking 8000 steps every day without even trying. That is just an every day occurrence, just walking around the house and to various spots in my daily routine. Just think if I tried to make the 10,000 steps that I should be doing....it wouldn't take a whole lot more effort and I might even lose a couple of pounds. (I need to lose more than a couple of pounds, but that is a whole other post)

7)My computer and I have a love/hate relationship going on. I spend WAY too much time on the computer, but it entertains me. I love social networking and I am officially an addict. I wish that I could find other things to do that entertain me just as much, but I am fairly shut in, especially in the evening. When it's dark outside, I stay in. It's safer. I have glaucoma, macular degeneration, and weak spots on my retinas. I think my eyes are quite pretty, probably one of my best features, but they don't work so great......

8)Christmas stresses me out. Even though I am completely organized, I still lose sleep over all the things there is to do. I love it, but I don't love all the stress that it causes me. Nobody is happier than me that it is over for another year!!!

9)I love books, coats, hoodies, shoes and purses. It's a bit of a problem......but only to me. I admit it is a problem and I know that I shouldn't buy as many of them as I do. My husband fully supports the book and hoodie habit, but is still quite quizzical about the coats, shoes and purse issues. I have way too many of all of them and I will often buy new ones for no reason......except that I really, really love them!!

10)I adore my family!! That is no secret. And I have known this for a very, very long time. My children are my passion and my greatest accomplishment. I love my husband more than I can ever describe in words. I haven't gotten any letters after my name, or medals or trophies, but I was born to be a mom. I have made more mistakes than I could even count, and parenting is by far, the hardest job I have ever had, but it is still the most rewarding. I have reaped a lot of rewards this year. And I keep reaping more!!! 2009 was stupendous, but I think 2010 is going to be even better!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! BE SAFE AND BE RESPONSIBLE!!! I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK AGAIN!!!!!

I love a good sale!

I have been out and about for some Boxing week sales and have managed to purchase some wonderful items at really good prices! I think we should all just wait until after Christmas to shop, there are sure some great bargains out there. I had been eyeing up this outfit for Toddler at Monkey Business for a few weeks now, so when it came on sale 40% off and they actually had his size, well, I bought it. And they actually didn't have his size. All the size 3's and 4's are the first to go, I was told, so I ended up buying him a size 24 month in jeans. And they fit! As a matter of fact they fit better than most of his size 3's because we don't have to roll them up. I was so pleased!! And so was his mommy........she came to pick him up yesterday and he was all dressed in his new duds. "Where did you get your jacket?" She asked him. "Mamma." was the reply. She hadn't even noticed that he got new jeans yet and she was very thankful and so happy about his new outfit. I mean, what are grandma's for, if they can't spoil the little boy? Grandpa was sure to add that the clothes are from Papa too, as he was there with me, aiding and abetting. He is my best partner, when it comes to shopping as I am so indecisive and he can make the decision for me. We are a great team!!

This is what Hubby spent some hours on Sunday doing.......and some more hours last night. This was his request for Christmas, and he is very pleased with his gift. Tells me he is the new chinese laundry......I laughed and told him that no, he married the chinese laundry. I used to iron, and then he took it over about 15 years ago, and the truth is, he does a way better job. I still remember when Miracle #2 was graduating and he needed a shirt ironed. "Dad, Dad, can you show me how to iron my shirt?" YES!!! Right then, I knew that we had role-modeled well. There is no double standard in this house and we are all capable of all tasks!! Hubby is really enjoying his new toy. And I love that he is enjoying his new toy!! He has pressed over 25 shirts and it's been great to watch the big ironing pile diminish!!

It was such a wonderful Christmas!!

For unto us a child is born,
unto us a Son is given:
and the government shall
be upon His shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counsellor,
The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

We had such a great day.....and I keep re-living it by looking at pictures. In order of appearance, here are my miracles. I love them so much and I saw them all, and we made some memories. They gave me the best Christmas ever!! And to them I am forever grateful!! Here is Miracle #4, just relaxing before his sisters and brothers are to arrive......enjoying his new book!

Miracle #1, receiving some gifts!

Miracle #2, receiving a gift!

Daughter-in-law, posing for the camera!! She is five months pregnant already.....it is going by soooooo fast!! For me anyway...lol!

Miracle #3, with SIL. She is receiving her gift from her brother......and I think she really likes it! No, I KNOW she really likes it.!

Christmas 2009 is over and as usual, it went by too fast. All the prep, the clean-up, the baking, the clean-up, the wrapping, the clean-up, the gift-giving, the clean-up, the eating, the clean-up. It's done for another year!!! Onward to more fun this week and Bring on 2010!!

Day 4

Well, it's Day 4 of my weekend and I can honestly say, that I think I am going to have a relaxing day. I was planning my chill day to be yesterday, but it just didn't work out. Just as the last guests were leaving on Christmas (it was around 10:30 pm) we discovered a leak. Well, to be honest, Miracle #4 discovered a leak in a water pipe just above the hot water heater. He heard the hissing and water spraying and we all remembered the one we had last year and so we were way better equipped this time. Hubby turned off the water, I ran for towels, #4 got his new penlight out and we had it under control within a minute. We are good.....the three of us......quite the team when we have a mini-emergency. I guess it's from experience. LOL

So we had no water for about 13 hours......I put out an APB (all plumbers bulletin) on Facebook and went to bed, figuring I would deal with it in the morning. When I got the call from my friend Steve at 9:09 on Boxing Day, he was more than happy to come over and have a look and see what he could do. It was his wife's BD though and couldn't come for a couple of hours, but that was just so wonderful that he was going to come and all was well again. Except for we didn't have any water........so we were camping. Luxury camping with heat and electricity, but no flush toilets and no shower facilities. #4 and I were quite fine with it, but Hubby was missing his morning shower ALOT. We all coped and Steve and his 7 year old apprentice showed up just before noon with Tim Horton's coffees, figuring we had no water so we had no coffee, and had the pipe fixed in about 10 minutes. Praise God for friends who are plumbers!! I had the dishwasher (Round 4 from Christmas) and the washing machine going within minutes of the pipe being fixed, and turkey soup was started within the hour. I never did watch the World Junior game which I hear was a 16-0 drubbing of Latvia.

Hubby and I used one of our Christmas gift cards to The Keg last night.......we had hockey tickets so we went to the one downtown. So yummy......I commented to Hubby that I thought my classic sirloin was better than turkey the night before, but that's only because I didn't have to cook it or clean it up. We had a lovely evening out and paid $5 for parking and just under $10 for a tip and that was the cost of our date. Yes, I bought the hockey tickets, but that was way back in August so it felt like it didn't cost anything. Lots of fun and the Canucks did not disappoint, they played well and beat the Oilers 4-1.

It feels weird to have 4 days off already. They have been very busy days, so it actually feels like it has been longer. I ended up with Christmas Eve off because of sick children who didn't come, so #2 and I finally took Toddler to see Santa. We got there really early and ended up tag teaming in the line-up for an hour before he even arrived. It was a good choice as I counted at noon when he actually showed up and there were already over 30 people with their children waiting. Valley Fair Santa is legendary. And of course, it was our turn and Toddler was tired, so his voice of "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no, no," could be heard through-out the Mall. He didn't cry and we have lovely picture of him on his Mommy's knee with Santa. Santa actually looks sad in the picture.......It made him sad that Toddler didn't want to come and see him. If I could figure out how to make my scanned pic into a JPG instead of a PNG then I would post it, but I don't know how to do it. Blogger and me......we kind of have a love/hate relationship going on!

Christmas and Boxing Day have blurred on by and I have church today, and then no other plans made. I may even hit the Mall.....Oh, I can't believe I even thought that out loud!!! Turkey soup for dinner and Canucks PPV sound like a perfect way to spend an evening!! (Although my friends are leaving for Cuba tonight......that sounds even more perfect!!) I almost had Hubby convinced that he wanted to spend New Year's Eve in Palm Springs and when I checked into tickets with Allegiant out of Bellingham, I found flights for just over $500 for two of us. By the time he was able to commit and get his head around being spontaneous, the price had doubled and I wasn't going to pay over $1000 for just two days. You snooze, you lose. And this time we did, and I am disappointed. Oh well, life is full of disappointments.......and it just wasn't meant to be. I have been checking into cruises and all-inclusives, so it is just a matter of time before I have one booked and we will be off into the wild blue yonder too!!

KIng of the Court

One almost-21 month old toddler, two teen-agers and fourteen adults got together for a Christmas feast last night and we had the most splendid evening. Here is a cute family picture of one nuclear family who came to celebrate the birth of a King.

Our little king....holding court, he even had a castle!!

He had such a fun time playing with his great-aunts and great-uncles! GG and his 2nd cousins also enjoyed watching him play and laugh. He has a really contagious laugh!!

The center of attention and loving every minute of it!

Playing Peek-a-Boo with Uncle Munno!! (I have no idea how this name came about, it used to be Beena, which sort of even makes sense) Munno? We have no idea.....

It was a wonderful day!

This was at 7 am on Christmas morning. I was waiting for the men in my house to get ready to go out for breakfast. Hubby was in the shower, and #4 didn't hear me the night before about when we were getting going, so he was still sound asleep. I eventually started to open one present at a time, waiting, waiting, waiting.........About every half hour or so, I would choose one of the gifts that one of the Daycare children gave me and treasure it. I was so delighted when Miracle #3 phoned just after eight and we headed over to watch Toddler open some gifts!!

Round 2, around 3 pm.....we were waiting for the miracles to arrive!!

Just arriving to a houseful of some of his very favourite people!

Auntie gave him a keyboard!

This toy provided lots of entertainment on Christmas evening. Thank-you Sara for suggesting it.........it was a superb choice!! I think that his smile says it all!!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign unto you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:8-12

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13-14

Our Advent Calendar

It's Christmas!! Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday, dear Jesus! Happy Birthday to you!!! We went to Christmas Eve service last night and it was wonderful....a little bit longer than normal, but still wonderful. We took up a whole row, our family!! And we had friends who sat in front of us, who were long-time friends and are like family. Toddler cracked me up..........he would NOT stop talking. Just like his mom, when she went to Christmas Eve service, so many, many years ago. God has such a sense of humour......it was Payback time and he was ever so cute. "Star. Moon. Baby. Papa. Mamma. Two mammas. Muck. Leelee." But the best was when there was picture of Baby Jesus in the manger on the overhead. "Baby" And in the next frame, the manger was empty. "Oh no!" It was so quiet when he said that, and it was hard not to laugh. He learned how to say "Nutcracker" yesterday. Cackcacker. Too funny!! I love all his words and his expressions and his wonder of his world. Merry, merry Christmas to all!!! Have a day filled with love and laughter and lots and lots of food!! I have 31.5 pounds of turkey thawing upstairs........there are only 17 of us for dinner. We will eat until we burst!!! Hugs, hugs and more hugs!!!

This week......

He read books.....

We went to the church and jumped in the bouncy castle.....

He made his mommy a "wuv you" cookie.....

He played Playdough....

And he found the tomatoes in the fridge, so made himself comfortable!!

Isn't he awesome?!? I know I probably say it way too much, but I love him so much!! He is so much fun and he entertains me daily. We had a great week.....and even though he has a bit of cough and a runny nose, he is in very good spirits and is a very happy boy!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Cash for Comments

Okay, I don't know why I think I need to know. But I do. Who reads this, anyway? I am going to donate $$$ for comments. Cold hard cash, to the Food Bank. I have been thinking about it for awhile now, but decided to challenge my friends to give me a comment here. If you don't have a blog or want to remain anonymous, then just give me a quick email at hemm@shaw.ca If you are lurking, I would love to get to know you and love to read your blog too!! So, can you tell me what your favourite Christmas surprise was or is?

I know that this is going to sound very materialistic, but my very favourite present was my diamond ring from Hubby in 1997. And it wasn't because it was the most beautiful five diamonds I had ever seen, but it was in the way that he gave it to me. I always get the most.....that is what my miracles have always told me. They are right......and I also give the most! But I have a Daycare in my home.....and my peeps always load up my Christmas tree, with stuff. My husband spoils me every single Christmas that we have been together and my children do pretty good too!! So I had this large stack of presents.....probably 3 feet high sitting beside me, and everyone had opened theirs one at time, but my stack was bigger so I always am ending with the extras. At the very bottom of the pile was a book. I love books!! But it was called, "The Nursing Home Murders" or something like that. Very thick......very not my taste in reading. As I opened the front cover, I saw what he was smiling about. He had hollowed it out and my ring box fit into it. Apparently it was quite the project. He did at work on his lunch hours. Cut out the pages, bit by bit, page by page. Took hours. I was so thrilled, and mostly just amazed that he had done that. Love and Christmas go hand in hand. And giving back.

I have received much......so the Bible says I must give much. I mostly give of myself, but I really want to give a cash donation to a charity of my choice. Oh, I have lots of charities that I give to, but I pick my certain ones every year.....usually three......and give larger donations to those, instead of little bits to every one. I have chosen the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Food Bank this year. I am a bit late for Christmas, but January is probably one of their harshest months. Everyone is tapped out. Sooooooooooo, what is your favourite Christmas surprise? For every comment I receive, I will donate $5. And I am going to challenge you to give too......to anyone in need. It doesn't have to be monetary, even helping a friend out with babysitting services or bringing a friend a cup of tea.......Give something back. Can't go through life with a catcher's mitt on!! Gotta throw something back........Give it a try. You will be amazed how good it will make you feel!!

The Holiday Train

Toddler loves trains! So when Miracle #3 learned that the CP Holiday train was coming through Maple Ridge last Friday night, she invited me to go. She also invited her MIL and I invited DIL and #4. We ventured out on a very misty, rainy evening and had a fantastic time. We parked at the Church on 222nd and Lougheed Hwy and made the trek down the hill, just in time to see the train pulling into the Port Haney Station. Toddler's eyes were as big as saucers!!

I love the great big yawn.....he was getting so tired. After all, it was an hour past his bedtime!

Toddler with his Mommy and his two Grandma's!
(He calls us both, "Mamma." Sounds like Gramma with an M)

Saying good-bye to the choo choo after a very fun hour of strolling Santa's, music by Wide Mouth Mason and some dancing in the street. We had so much fun, and made some wonderful memories. We were already planning to go back next year before we even left!

13 Special Reasons.....

......to get very excited about Christmas. Some of the Daycare children, past and present were able to come and play this morning. We had a lot of fun......and I got a lot of hugs!!!

Done, done, done!!

I am done!! I went to Superstore, at 5:43 this morning and finished the last few things to pick up on my list, and it was probably one of the best ideas that I have had in awhile. Couldn't sleep anyway.....Hubby claims that I am too excited. He's right, but I still had lots of things on my one consolidated "to do" list last night and now everything has been crossed off. I even went into Tim Horton's on my way home to pay for all the goodies I ordered for the Daycare party at the church. I had it ordered to be ready for 8:45 and as I laid wide awake at 3:07 this morning, I decided that I needed to get it paid for and ready to exit the Timmy's as soon as I got there, instead of waiting through the great big line-up which is at prime time. Hopefully, it was a good idea and it works out in my favour!!

Yesterday went really well. I had lots of activities for the children to do and the dynamics were great. Children co-operated and played all day and we had a lot of fun. Two phoned in sick, one with a cough and one with a fever and flu-like symptoms. He went to the doctor and he is out for the week. Poor little guy!! Hope he feels better by Friday!! So when I went to the doctor last night, I finally bit the bullet and got my H1N1 shot and I was very surprised that it didn't hurt at all. It's a bit achy this morning but I popped some Advil at 5 and it feels way better already. Again, I am surprised because Advil doesn't usually work for me. Miracle #4 has been popping Advil all week as he has done something to his shoulder. He claims he did it while sleeping, but when the pain never went away, I sent him to the chiropractor. He has had a couple of adjustments, and is in obviously worse shape than I thought, as he has to go back again in a week. He has such a physical job and never gets hurt, and now he is relaxing.....perhaps a little too much.......and now he is in pain. We are quite the pair, the two of us, one with a sore shoulder and one with a sore arm. Makes for lifting 32 pound Toddler a bit tricky today!!

I am so excited for today!! I have booked the church gym for a couple of hours and a couple of the miracles and I are going to play and run and have doughnuts with 20 or so of our best friends who are children. I have lots of friends who are children but these ones come at least once a week to visit, and their parents actually pay me for hanging out with them. It's a very good deal that I have going on!!! Hopefully, some of their parents can stay and have coffee/tea and some social time before they go on to their busy lives, but we will see. I have lots and lots of refreshments, so I sure hope someone stays!!! Six have said yes, for sure, and the others have just 3 full days to get everything ready for Christmas, so they have said maybe. Maybe is good!! It doesn't mean no.

Only 3 days until the big day!!!!!

On Christmas Countdown!

Hubby and Miracle #2 went down to the Coliseum last night and met Gordie Howe. I think that Hubby looks very happy here........he was so pumped about this opportunity and when I chose not to go, he invited his first-born son. They were both stoked and received one minute of time with Mr. Hockey and treasured each second. Hubby bought his book through our friends that we share some season tickets with to the Giants. He happened to be one of the first 100 to get his order in, so was able to go and meet one of his childhood heroes!! I was so excited for him and judging from the look of this picture....they were too!

There are only 6 more days until Christmas!! And I am so excited this year!! Toddler's enthusiasm for life has totally rubbed off and I am so grateful to him for this. I have said for many, many years that Christmas is for kids and I still think it. DIL and I were talking about the five love languages last night, and I have never read the book, but I have had so many friends I know talk about it, that I thought that I knew what they were. She helped out my poor tired brain and we think that they are gifts, acts of service, touch, words and time. My friends have always told me that I am a words and touch person, but I think I am a time person. I like the little things, and the time spent. Don't spend your money, come for tea. One of my favourite parts of Christmas is the yearly cards, pictures and letters. Especially the pictures!! I like hugs....but only from the people I care about. (That is actually a lot of people when I get to counting them) And Toddler gives the best squeezes!!
I have been wide awake since 4:53 am. I think that this is the first Saturday in weeks that I don't have a morning activity planned. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have to leave the house until dinnertime. Hubby and #4 have optometrist appointments this afternoon, but I am as free as the breeze. Weird.......So I have been writing out lists.
Final dinner menu-Check.
Grocery list-check
The birthdays I have missed this month list-check
Daycare Christmas party list-check
And it goes on and on.....We actually finished our shopping for Christmas presents the other night......I believe it was Thursday. And I would have finished on Tuesday, but the place that I went to for gift certificates was closed. It feels good.......really good! Not looking forward to the credit card bills coming in January, but I always pay them off......It just might take more than a month. (probably closer to 2 or 3, but that's okay)
I am supposed to remember that my eye pressures are 22 and 23. That was back in November that I was told that, and I am surprised that I even remember as I am suffering greatly from brain clutter. That's why I had to write everything down so I could let it all go. I have been so forgetful and made way too many mistakes lately. Wore my shirt inside out one day.....for about 3 hours. No one even noticed and I am not even gonna tell you how many people saw me that morning before I noticed. (#3, you were one of them.....just goes to show you how much brain clutter you are carrying around too....LOL) I have cashed blank checks. I have lost checks. I forgot to pay a bill. I have mis-placed my phone more than once. And the channel changer ended up on the step one night and I was tearing the den apart trying to figure out where I put the darn thing. (on the step...it was only me that had it) I have walked out of the house forgetting where I am supposed to go. Retraced many a step this month. I am so glad that I work at home right now. At least I am not endangering people by heading out into traffic. Can't drive at night any more, so that is probably a good thing. My night vision and my peripheral vision are terrible. Two of the miracles have refused to drive at night with me for years, and it's not that I can't. I shouldn't. I do find that when I am well rested, and it isn't raining, I can. The last few weeks.......I can't drive. The Christmas season is upon us and even though I am very organized, I still get stressed. Too many things to do, so little time. The plan on Boxing Day is to stay in my pyjamas and watch hockey all day!! I did that last year and I think it is going to become a tradition!!!

Ice Day!

Look very carefully at the branches on the tree outside of my house. After the snow and then the freezing rain fell on Monday night, this is what we woke up to on Tuesday morning. All the branches have a coating of ice on them and the icicles were so cool!!

This is the best that I have.....look closely and you can see the ice.

Even the rhododendron was covered with little tiny icicles. I marveled at it for most of the morning, as I just think that God is truly amazing to make such beauty. By noon, the ice was melted and the large icicles were falling off the power lines to the road below. Almost saw a car got nailed at the corner of Laity and Dewdney. He was just a fraction of a second quicker than the big chunk of ice that was going to hit his car. The children and I saw it shatter to the road below!

Snow day!

We loved the snow that fell on Sunday/Monday! It was just enough to play in and have fun in....hopefully that is it for the year and the next time we see it, we can be in the mountains! I am still remembering the snow that fell last December the 17th, and never left until April. This was a perfect amount, and for the perfect amount of time.

"Oh, that looks like fun!"

"Can I do it too?"

"Okay, I can!!!"

Checking out the neighbours yard. Toddlers don't understand that they shouldn't go into other people's yards that don't belong to them. It really is fine....these neighbours won't mind at all!
