I can't believe it is the end of the month. May came and May went and it was a bit of a whirlwind. Baby was born on April 30th and she is beautiful. And a month old already. At 18 days old, she weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces, so I am sure she is over 10 pounds now. Getting cuter every time I see her.....she started smiling last week and I just love to look at her. I could spend hours just staring........managed to put my neck out in the first week, doing exactly that. I am trying to be more careful so that I don't do again, but it's hard.......I just love to look at her.......

My mother-in-law was in the hospital for over three weeks. Ended up in Intensive Care on Mothers Day, as she was vomiting blood. She had a couple of blood transfusions, (maybe 3, I am not sure) had some tests and the bleeding was because of an ulcer. Was in Intensive Care for almost a week, but she had some physio-therapy, went back downstairs for another week for some more physio and convalescing and is home now. Still somewhat weak, but doing amazingly well, considering all that she has been through. She doesn't even remember the first week she was there! (thanks to a concussion)

There were two baby showers this weekend, and it was fun to see everyone and enjoy our baby girl. Toddler is very gentle with her and loves her as much as the rest of us. It's great, as we all wondered about his reaction. After being King of the Hill for so long, I have to admit, I was a little concerned. Concerns were unwarranted, so far.......

Toddler is a little parrot right now and makes me laugh all the time. Never stops talking, even if it's just to hear his own voice. #3 and I couldn't help chuckling the other day when he was chatting to himself as he was going to sleep. "Stop whining.....sounds terrible......." Gee, I wonder how many times he has heard us say that.

My aunt and her husband were here from Calgary in the middle of the month. Managed to come on a very lovely Spring day and we enjoyed their company very much. Doesn't feel like it's been very nice lately, so I am glad they were here when the weather was somewhat pleasant. Lots of rain in the last week or more, and I really am getting tired of it. My sister is in Hawaii right now and she couldn't have left at a better time. It's been cold and dreary ever since she left.

Hubby did his annual inventory shift on the weekend. Left at 8:30 am on Saturday and pulled back in again at 8 pm. Long day. And they didn't even feed them this year. Came home very tired and very hungry.

I am tired today.......and I don't really have a reason. I did hear Miracle #4 leave this morning at 4:33 am, but I fairly certain that I went back to sleep. I have a whole bunch of pictures to download, as I need to update Baby, for sure. And Toddler got a haircut and looks way too grown up now. I got my hair cut as well, at least six inches are gone and it feels so good. I think I will get even more cut next time as Baby seems to lie right in it when she cuddles. And I have never really liked the ponytail, so getting it cut seems like the obvious solution. I really do have to sign eyes are closing as I am typing......

Childrens Festival

We headed into Vancouver today, with Toddler and his family and attended the 33rd Annual Childrens Festival. I hadn't been for a good many years and it was very, very fun! Toddler LOVED Charlotte Diamond, and was sure to say, "Thank-you Diamond." as we left the tent. He enjoyed the music and interacted with her songs and music. He still loves, "I am a pizza." and was very excited when she sang it.

Isn't this adorable? He was quite sure that the ducks and the geese were swimming across the pond to see him and only him...........and this was his reaction.

The geese had seen some people throwing popcorn......that is what they were swimming over for. And they were swimming fast!

He was very bold and didn't realize that geese bite, so there was always an adult very close by.

Okay, so it doesn't look like anyone was very close, but all was well. This goose was definitely one of the more mellow ones.....

My hockey star and my beauty.....

He has always liked hockey, but the nice weather has gotten us outside a lot lately. He has a wicked slapshot!

Changed over to a puck............he likes to play with both. He shoots left.

Looking rather adoringly at her Daddy......we all like to look at her eyes and guess what colour they are going to be.......

Her very proud Daddy with his beautiful daughter!

Isn't she lovely?

If you look really closely, then her eyes appear to be blue. Because #2 and DIL were such big babies at birth, DIL has always teased that they would have 15 pound beach balls with no eyes...(because both of them had such tiny eyes, as well) We have always had a good laugh about it, and I commented that she is going to have a small baby with big blue eyes. (she did a google check....55%, they would be brown, 25%, they would be green or 20%, they would be blue) So far, Baby is small.......and wouldn't it be a surprise if her eyes ended up being blue?

Hanging out with her Daddy.

Sleeping angel

This picture reminds me of one of Toddler that was taken right after his first bath, in the very same hospital two years ago. She was very content in her Mommy's arms, and I just love her expressions. She is sooooooo petite. Little tiny features. We spent a couple of hours with her this afternoon and it went by very quickly. She is an absolute treasure........another one of God's perfect and wondrous gifts!
