Another month has zipped on by.  We have had another busy month, although I really didn't take as many pictures as I usually do.  These children all make me smile.  A lot.

We went to visit Sweetheart on the day that she was sick.  She enjoyed her presents, even though she wasn't feeling well.  You can tell by her eyes.

She celebrated mid-week when she was feeling better!  Cake and candles are always fun!  And you can just see by looking at her that she isn't sick any more.

Family and friends!  And babies!  Yes, we seem to have them all at this house!

Abby came for a visit and she was so happy to play and see her friends.  Turns out that she has to keep her cast on for six weeks instead of three, so she is only going to be here one day a week until September.  Her mom is an SEA so she is on leave until the end of June and then has the summer off. Summer just came 2 months early.....for her.  It was really nice to see her but I will be very happy when she gets her cast off on June 11th.  She manages to get around really well by crawling and scooching on her bum, but it inhibits us from getting out and about.  And that is fine for one day a week, but now that everyone is getting older, it has been so nice to be free.

We have been spending more and more time at the park this month.  Which is so fun for everyone!  Yesterday, we frequented two of them!

Congratulations !

Eighteen years have gone by very quickly!  My goddaughter is graduating from high school this year and it is her prom tonight.

This very special family came into my life 21 years ago.  We went over to their house around 3 o'clock, so we could see our graduate all dressed up!

She told me that she felt like a princess and was very very excited!  She is actually wearing Miracle #3's grad dress from 14 years ago.  She tried it on at Christmastime and it fit her like a glove.  What surprises me the most is that it isn't really that dated!

All the little children were very excited to go and visit a real live princess!

She is so beautiful!  She has her dinner, dance and dry grad tonight and her ceremonies are in June. Congratulations Gorgeous Girl.....have a wonderful time tonight and be safe!

Nine and a half weeks

Our newest blessing is nine and a half weeks old.  She weighs 13 pounds 1 ounce and is 23.5 inches long.  That is 95 percentile for weight and 96 percentile for height.  She is just heading into 6 month size clothing and as you can see, is growing up before our very eyes.  And speaking of eyes, yes they are still blue.  She is still eating well and sleeping well.  Most nights she is going 6-7 hours between feeds but always going right back to sleep. Has had a few rough days and nights as she is already starting to get her first tooth.  She has been working on it since 6 weeks old!  She pays very close attention to her surroundings and I love all her smiles and baby sounds.  I love her to the moon and back again!

This is so true!  And until you get them, you really don't get it.  I cannot tell you how many people tell me their ideas about what kind of grandparent they are going to be.  The same goes about being a parent.  You just don't get it until you become one.  Seriously.  Never say never.

I was just looking at our Christmas photo from last year.  It was taken almost 8 months ago.  The blessings have all changed and grown up so much!  We have another grand-daughter who is already two months old!  Another one is due to be born in 6 weeks.  When we had this picture taken, #3 wasn't even pregnant. I mean, we knew we would be adding one more blessing this year, but what a bonus to be adding two.  We are so blessed!  And our hearts are so full!  (And that doesn't mean that they can't get fuller, but I can honestly say that we will more than likely stay at five for a while, if not for always)

End of May

It was our last Storytime for the season on Thursday and we won't be able to go again until July.  That is if we decide to go.  Summer is so carefree, and it is so nice to be less scheduled for two months.  That being said, it is nice to pick and choose, and they sure have a lot going on during the summer months.  I know we will get there a few times because as you can see, it isn't just about the stories.  The fingerplays, puppets and action songs are very fun too!

She loved it!

Sweetheart wants to dance.  She loves Music class and she loves to move.  When my sister emailed me yesterday to tell me that my niece was competing locally, it worked out that we could go and watch!  Here they are, just before the performance.

At the end of every set, they adjudicate and give out awards.  Sweetheart loved sitting with her cousin and being on the stage.  She could not stop smiling and waving at me in the audience.  As far as she was concerned, she was in the show!  And when Emmi gave her her medal, well, that was just amazing!  It doesn't take much to impress a 3 year old......and this 3 year old was most impressed!

Springtime pictures

Here are some more really great pictures!  These are two of the newest little ones who have been coming to Daycare this month.  The older one has been coming since February, but her little sister has joined her a couple of times in May because I have an empty spot right now.  Ever since Abby broke her leg, it seems very quiet around here....

I love pictures!  And I really love these newborn shots.  I know that professional newborn photos are really expensive, but when these showed up on my Facebook newsfeed, I just had to share.  She has changed so much in her six short days of life!

Mustache Day

It was Mustache Day at Grandson's school on Thursday.  Doesn't he look great?  Our little man is almost finished kindergarten. At 6 years old he weighs 56 pounds and is 48 and a quarter inches tall. Getting so big and growing up so fast!

Three days off

It is the beginning of a long weekend, and it looks like our sun is about to disappear again.  Not looking too promising, weather-wise, but that is okay.  We have absolutely no plans, and you know, I am kind of looking forward to it......I know that there is always things to do, but nothing that is absolutely pressing. a good sort of way!

A beautiful evening for baseball!

Grandma and Grandpa G came out to watch Grandson play ball tonight.  Here are just some of the wonderful images that his Grandpa captured on his camera. Oh, how I love this boy!

Grandson loves to hit the ball. And he is actually very good at it!

Telephoto images. I love his expressions!  Batting, fielding and on the base.

More wonderful expressions!  Looks like he is having fun!

Watch the ball!  He whacked it way out to center field if my memory serves me correctly!

So serious.  He pays such close attention when he is up to bat!  They just started pitching to the children this week.  Up until now, they have hit off the tee.  It was a great evening to watch baseball!

Another girl!

Our friends became grandparents today to this sweet baby girl, weighing 8 pounds 11 ounces.  I was so positive that they were having a boy (yes, I know that I am usually wrong), and I know it really doesn't matter anyway.  Healthy is the most important.  But we are definitely on a run of girls...Sophie, Cora, Paige, Nancy, Norah, Layla and now Kaija have arrived!  All in the last two months!

She is 3!

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!  She started her day with Music Class and then she came over for the day and played with her friends.  Her Mommy bought her some doughnuts to share.  Her Daddy bought her some flowers and she was very, very pleased.  She spent her evening at the ball park and loves to tell everyone that she is three!

We weighed and measured her last night and she is 34 pounds and 37.5 inches tall.  She still fits a Size 3 in clothing, but we try to buy Size 4 to give her some room to grow.  It really does depend on the brand. I still think she is a little peanut but she is very average.  She is still wearing a Size 9 shoe.  She is such a girly girl, and princesses and dollies are her favourite. She made me laugh the other day when we were talking about her baby sister in her Mommy's tummy.  When her mom informed her that she grew in her Mommy's tummy and that she (her mom) grew in Grandma's tummy, she replied, "Oh, that is wonderful. I didn't know that!"  So cute!  And I love her to the moon and back again!

Miracle #3 is 32 weeks pregnant.  And like her other two pregnancies, she appears to be having another big baby.  She claims that she feels like she is getting bigger and bigger every day.  Which is exactly what she is supposed to do!  She just wishes everyone would stop telling her so.  Personally, I think she looks gorgeous!  And I think that she should embrace it.  Easy for me to say.....

At 24 weeks, her fundal height was 27 centimeters and at 28 weeks, it was 32 centimeters.  At 31 weeks, she was measuring 38 centimeters.  But according to her doctor, the baby doesn't feel that big.  He thinks that it is a lot of fluid.  So she has another appointment on Friday and we will see if she has slowed down a little bit.  If I didn't know any better I would swear that she was having another boy as Grandson got bigger faster than his sister did in utero.  Every pregnancy is so different.

Too sick to party

Poor Sweetheart.  She woke up yesterday with a fever of 102 degrees.  So, plans changed.  She was going to have a 3 year old birthday celebration, but it was not to be.  Her brother was more upset than she was, but she wasn't well.  Tylenol is a wonderful thing and it kept her fever down, but by 6:20 last night she was out for the night.  (Don't you love how she fell asleep with her new princess wand?). She woke up today with a fever of 100, and medication brought it down to normal.  She has no idea what she even missed, and we are all very thankful that she is feeling better!

Grandson got his baseball pictures on the weekend.  Such a sweet little boy......although he would actually tell you he is not little.  LOL.  I love this guy way too much!
