A couple more pictures

From our family to yours.....

Happy New Year!  I actually had this photo made into Christmas cards, and then didn't mail any out.  Oops!  I still have them, and will probably still send them out anyway.  But for now, this peek will have to do.  We are spending a quiet New Years Eve at home and will probably be sleeping by the time midnight gets here on the west coast!

December

I know I haven't been blogging very much this month.  No reason.  No busier or crazier than usual, but I do have a computer that has completely stopped working.  And a camera that is only a year old, but doesn't always take the greatest of photos to share.  So I depend on my iPad.  A lot.  Probably too much, and it isn't always charged and ready to go.  Sooooooooo, this is all I have for now.

We did group activities in the daycare all month.  December flew by, and the children were extraordinarily excited about Christmas.  I loved hearing their stories about their elves that made appearances at their houses on the first of December.  Grandson and Sweetheart named their elf Larry McJingles and Abby named hers Sparkles.  Mischievous little elves who report back to Santa every night.  As #3 pointed out, just one more thing to remember before going to bed every night.  LOL.

We went to our annual Dinner with Santa on the 21st.  As usual, it was one of my highlights of my Christmas season and it was lots of fun.  Santa comes around to every table and talks to everyone individually.  As you can see, Sweetheart is having a very serious discussion with him.  It kind of went like this.  Santa: Have you been a good girl?  Sweetheart: No, not really.  Santa: Can you try to be a good girl?  Sweetheart: Probably.  Santa then told her she gets extra points for being honest.  We all had a good laugh!

I didn't cook Christmas dinner this year.  I only do it every other year and this was my year off.  Hubby, #4 and I went out to Mission to Hubby's sister and brother-in-laws house.  #1 joined two of my sisters with my dad and three of her cousins, #2 went to his in-laws, and #3 cooked for SIL and his family this year.  Thank-you to everyone who sent pictures, as I didn't take a single one all day!

Oh dear!

Sweet Pea is probably one of the happiest smiliest babies that you will ever meet.  Unless she is on Santa's knee.  She encountered him more than once during the holiday season......and this was the result every time.  It is still a great memory!

She was nine months old on the 20th and she got weighed and measured yesterday.  20 pounds 2 ounces and 28 and a quarter inches long.

Hockey Tournament

Grandson was in his first hockey tournament on the weekend and he and his team played so well.  They played four games and won all four, which made everyone so proud.  Grandson scored two goals (in two separate games) and he was very excited!

Santa Pictures

Not everyone liked Santa this year.  But we did the token screaming baby before their parent's came in and saved them.  It is surprising how Sweet Pea stopped instantaneously when her Daddy saved her.  And I think it is rather amusing how many people stand in the line-up just waiting and knowing what is to come.  Let's face it, it is more normal for them to cry when they are under two than for them to like the jolly old guy!

She is five months old!

Baby was 5 months old yesterday.  She weighs 17 pounds 8 ounces and is 26.5 inches long.  Those cheeks!  Absolutely irrisistible!

First visit to the dentist!

Sweetheart went to the dentist today and she aced it.  No cavities, good spacing, a bit of an overbite, and all is well.  Great check-up and she loves her new light-up toothbrush. Good job Sweetheart!  Keep up the good work!
