The "Quirium"

Sweetheart has been asking to go to the Aquarium for a few weeks now and as soon as Baby heard her sister talking about it, she too, wanted to go to the 'Quirium'.  We had planned to go yesterday but then life sort of happened and it wasn't going to work out.  So when I found out that my niece and my nephews were headed in this morning to take advantage of the Wet Labs that are only available on week days, we invited ourselves along and made it into a cousins outing. What a fun time we all had!

We arrived right at 9:30 when it opened and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. For about an hour, anyway.  Look at all those cute kids! Grandson made sure that everyone had a map!

We managed to get to the Ray pool just before we left, and as much as Grandson loves them, his sisters are very tentative.  They like looking, but there was no way that they were going to touch them.

Sweetheart had no problem posing for a picture though. There are little areas around the pool that the children are allowed to lay on their tummies to get up close and personal. Grandson just loved it!  I believe he told me that he touched 55 rays. Yep, that's my numbers boy......he counts the times that he gets to touch the rays.

The rays were much more friendly this time that we went. The last time they were quite skittish, whereas this time they came swimming over to be touched.  Grandson was so pleased!

After 4 hours at the Aquarium....she fell asleep walking out to our vehicle.
