I have been looking at this view all week. So today I ventured over to the schoolyard fence to take a picture. My shadow is so long at 2:30 in the afternoon. It was -2 degrees but in my opinion, it felt way colder.
It's so icy on the ground, and at this particular school, there hasn't been a whole lot of ground maintenance. It's gotten better as the week has progressed because of general usage, but it's very hard to maneuver strollers and toddlers. I asked them all to stay and wait for me while I walked the 30 feet over to the fence. This is what I came back to. They all listened very well and stayed put.
And so then I asked them all to look and smile. Hey, 2 out of 6 did it without any problem at all. Lol.
I am a wife, a mother, a friend. I own and operate my own family business, a licensed daycare in my home. I often say that I don't really work, which I don't, I play. Rod Black once said that if you choose a career you love, then you never have to work a day in your life. I know that I have done that. Children fascinate me, they have very intriguing behaviours and although I often think I need to evolve past the age of 5, I keep coming back to take care of all the little children. They are the lights of my life, and they help to make my life complete.
