Poor Sweet Pea.....she decided to get up at 5:40 this morning, so when she arrived here just after 8 o'clock, she was really tired.
We didn't even get her jacket and backpack off before she lied down on the couch and went to sleep. I woke her up at 9:40 so that we could go to the library and she was a happy girl for the rest of the day. It's amazing what a little sleep can do. Especially if you have just turned three.
The sun actually came out this afternoon and the the thermometer said it was 12 degrees, but it felt cooler than that.
These two cousins had way too much fun playing together. They love these little cars.
Grandson came home with us after we went to the library. After some scooter riding and some frisbee throwing, he went to get a hockey stick and a ball.
He practiced his shooting skills for awhile. He set up the hockey net and started quite close to it, while moving a step backwards after each shot. Hockey is over for the season and baseball/softball starts next week.
I am a wife, a mother, a friend. I own and operate my own family business, a licensed daycare in my home. I often say that I don't really work, which I don't, I play. Rod Black once said that if you choose a career you love, then you never have to work a day in your life. I know that I have done that. Children fascinate me, they have very intriguing behaviours and although I often think I need to evolve past the age of 5, I keep coming back to take care of all the little children. They are the lights of my life, and they help to make my life complete.
