This is the room you wait in once you get changed into two hospital gowns while waiting for my biopsy. I was the only one here on this particular morning......maybe that's why everyone was late. Probably not a whole lot of appointments going on but it was still Christmas vacation for a lot of people. My biopsy took about 45 minutes and the Lori the sonographer was really good at her job. She was very calming and explained everything that the radiologist was going to do. He gave me local freezing and he was also very good at his job. It sounded like a staple gun and it didn't hurt at all. The huge bruise that I got was normal and lasted for over a week, it hurt a bit but nothing that I couldn't handle. I left here feeling like everything was under control, and it was nothing. Boy, was I ever wrong!!!

Hurry up and wait
I feel like a huge part of my January was taken up by appointments. And there were quite a few at Royal Columbian Hospital. My core biopsy was on January 3rd at 7:30 am. And so I figured it would take close to an hour to get there in rush hour traffic and I miscalculated. It took exactly 35 minutes, and I found a parking spot right away. So I waited.
